In an effort to increase the affordability of the iPhone family, Apple has now announced that the black 8GB iPhone 3G has dropped in price to $99 usd, following the introduction of the more powerful iPhone 3G S model today. It is unknown whether any changes have been made to the $99 iPhone 3G model as it has fallen in price; Apple occasionally makes undisclosed tweaks to its devices or their pack-ins coincident with price drops.
