It’s always practical to have a gaming device at hand when your on the move It sounds little bit nerdy but true it is. You never know when you’re going to end up in line, stuck in traffic, or locked in an elevator for three days in a row.
However, before I switched Windows Mobile, getting some decent games on my pre-historic cellphone was pretty much impossible, and one doesn’t string a PSP around his neck all day and expect to be popular with the ladies. So, imagine my joy when I got to know that there are free games for iPod that I can download!
These games, which were mainly meant to be downloaded from the iTunes store, could help you kill that little time that was still moving, and although gaming sounds highly impractical with a scroll-click-weel and a center button, they’re great fun i must say.
However, paying for these games gets old quick. Especially because you’re paying 5 bucks (or 5 Euros - people really don’t seem to know how to convert prices) for games you’ve played in your browser a few years ago, like Tetris and music quizzes.
The problem with the iPod’s freeware games market is Apple’s overprotectiveness. It’s not easy to put games on your iPod that weren’t bought in iTunes. But today, we’re going to show you how it’s done.
Please Note: that the iPods supported by this tutorial are the iPod Video 5G and 5.5G (pictured above). Trying this with iPod Nano’s, iPod Classics, or any of the newer models will be bound to result in failure (and there is no other alternative but installing Linux on your iPod).
Either way, everything described in this tutorial, you do on your own risk. Everything 3.1 is not responsible for any potential problems, or damage to your iPod.
So let’s get started,
Prepping your iPod for free games
The process consists of three parts. First, we’re going to make sure iTunes won’t undo all our hard work with the next synchronisation. Then, we’ll need to copy the necessary files and folders to our iPod, and finally, we’re going to patch our firmware.
Configuring iTunes
First of all, let’s fire up iTunes and disable a few options. In Devices - iPod - Options in the Summary tab, make sure that Enable disk use is checked.
Also, go to the Games tab and disable the Sync games box.
Now, close iTunes and make sure your iPod is mounted. If not, remove it and plug it in again.
Moving the files
Next, configure Windows Explorer to display hidden files and folders. If you’re using XP, go to Tools - Folder Options. On Vista, this option can be found in Organize - Folder and Search Options.
In the View tab, make sure Show hidden files and folders is enabled.
Open your mounted iPod in Windows Explorer and navigate to iPod_ControlGames_RO and extract the hex folder of your downloaded games. Read more about where to get these games at the bottom of the article.
Patching your iPod
For this one, you’ll need to download iPodWizard (v1.3) and the right firmware file - 5G or 5.5G. If you don’t know for certain which you need, the 5.5G iPod is the one with search function.
Fire up iPodWizard and make sure the edit mode is set to Firmware File. Then, browse to the correct firmware. Finally, press Write to iPod and follow the directions on your screen.
Yo! Congratulations, you should now be able to find your games on your iPod under extras. Have fun!

Namco’s arcade fighter Tekken 6 is finally coming Stateside, and to celebrate the publisher has announced a slew of goodies accompanying its October 27 release.
Tekken is one of the best game i(James) have ever played, the Cardboard Tube Samurai, a recurring character from the gaming webcomic Penny Arcade, is joining the roster, with a couple of catches. First, it isn’t an all-new character, but rather an alternate costume for Tekken regular Yoshimitsu. Second, the perk comes only for customers who pre-order the game from GameStop.
The GameStop pre-order contains more bonuses, such as a calendar and something known as Samurai Battle Banners.
Fans who followed (or suffered from) the massive shortage of joysticks following the release of Capcom’s Street Fighter IV will be pleased to know that Namco is also releasing a $150 limited edition packing a Hori joystick. That edition will come with yet still another bonus, an art book.

Electronic Arts has released The Sims 3, its latest game for the iPhone and iPod touch. Demonstrated during Apple’s iPhone OS 3.0 event, The Sims 3 is a life simulation game, in which users take control of their Sim’s life, customizing personality traits and physical characterisitcs, and choosing their destiny by deciding what actions they take, where they go, whether they fufill their goals, and who they interact with. The Sims 3 is available now from the App Store and sells for $10.

Grand Theft Auto is an Action-Adventure series in Sand-box style. The whole series of the game has been developed by ROCKSTAR NORTH (Company of Scotland). Grand Theft Auto 4 (GTA 4) is the sixth console release and it’s the eleventh episode over all. Game was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on 29th April 08 and 30th October 08 in Japan but the game made its original debut on PC (Windows) at 2 December 2008 for America and 3 December 2008 for Europe.
Basically GTA 4 is designed in 2 episodes and the other episode called Lost & Demand was released on XBOX 360 on the 17th February 2009. After completing his 1st mission by getting Roman back into his taxi business Niko quickly gets himself into the world of Underworld, crime and corruption. After completing some missions Niko meets Vlad who wants to be with Roman’s girl friend. Niko kills Vlad when he knows that he betrayed him by taking Roman’s girlfriend with him after killing Vlad. Then Niko and Roman meet with Mikhail Faustin and Dimitri Rascalov. Story is all about to betray first Dimitri betrays with Mikhail by telling Niko to kill him. When Niko kills him Dimtiri betrays Niko and tries to kill Niko. Niko survives and meet allots of people during the story to take his revenge and in last Niko has two option against Dimitri Revenge or Deal.
Game contains many unique and extra ordinary things which other games don’t have in them.GTA 4 contains allots of new changes as compared to its previous versions. Graphics are really superb and outstanding. Music is much betters then the last episodes. Driving is very realistic, so player should be efficient to drive a vehicle. ROCKSTAR has provided open city to play anywhere they provided that fabulous driving model and much better gunplay then the previous numbers. Player can steal the vehicles such as cars, bikes, boats, and helicopters. Stealing the car is not as easy at it was in previous episodes 1st you have to break the glass with you elbow or some thing else and you have to unlock the car. Your cell phone makes the game play more interesting you can call your girlfriend and you can also make a phone call to do a job as well. Idea of cell phone is appreciated by the players.
Cool shootouts make the game more entertaining cover system also does matter. Next thing is the versatility of vehicles GTA 4 has got. Although MAP of the version is smaller then the San Andreas but GTA 4 has variety of missions. “On screen” guide shows you the path through out the mission - it shows the multi routes and player can pick one from them. It may not be what many gamers are clamoring for, but Sony has got a slew of media-management tweaks in store for the PlayStation 3. By way of its PlayStation Blog, Sony today detailed what gamers can expect out of firmware update v2.60, which it expects to roll out in the near future. Foremost among the features included with v2.60 is the new Photo Gallery tool. With it, PS3 gamers will be afforded a streamlined process for sorting and displaying their digital photos. Planned features thus far announced include the ability to organize pictures within a variety of different parameters, to create slideshows accompanied by music, and to create photo playlists.
Firmware update v2.60 will also allow PS3 owners who have not signed up for the PlayStation Network to browse the online store. It will also add support for the DivX 3.11 video compression format. Sony did not reveal when the PS3’s firmware update v2.60 would be available. Along with detailing tweaks in store for the PS3, Sony mentioned today that the PSP is due for a minor firmware update. Specifics of the tweak, dubbed v5.03, were not revealed. Sony did say that the update is designed to improve system software stability during the use of certain PSP features. No date was issued for when gamers can expect to pick up the update, though Sony did say that it is expected to arrive “soon.”

The other new thing in the game is driving jobs just like G.T.A (Grand Theft Auto). You (player) have to steal a car and pursuing with the cops you have to drive the car without major damages towards a designated location (told in map).
The Game contains very rare BOSS RACES but they are quite different from the previous episodes. Basically boss race is a chase down race where player has to chase the boss car and destroy the car before the boss’ thugs comes near to you and destroy your car.
Game allows its players to play anywhere in “TRICITY” and this experiment was not highly appreciated by the players because there are no hidden events and unlock able missions. Police is not so efficient in this version and can be easily handled by the player. Although they put some pressure on during the game play but cops are not so efficient like they were in Need for Speed Most Wanted, so it’s very easy to doge the cops in Undercover
The Game contains very few modes of multiplayer game play but some of them are new and launched 1st time. Players can play against each other in “COPS n ROBBERS MODE”. One player will play being a cop and the other one will play as a robber. Cop is liable to catch the robber and the robber should deliver the package towards the safe or designated location. Players can entertain themselves by playing the remaining modes.
Need for Speed undercover is really a very interesting and entertaining game especially for a single player graphics and sound are really very realistic and awesome and other factors are also but it’s almost same as Need for Speed Pro street so it could be disappointment for many players but overall it’s an entertaining version launched by Electronic Arts n BlackBox Studious

In short Prince has to seal the Ahriman and to heal the fertile grounds which are occupied by the Ahriman with the help of princess Elika and her magical powers Elika is gifted with magical powers from the Ormazd (The God Of Light).
Elika is solider of Ormazd and she can destroy the black gates and heal the fertile grounds with the help of her magical powers. So Prince has to fight with the soldiers of Ahriman with the help of his Combos and Acrobatics on every ground and, He and Elika has to seal Ahriman by healing all the Dark grounds and bring back the light on those grounds
When I started playing prince of Persia 08 I found that version contains a lots of new changes. Game has exceptional story and UBISOFT designed a new Prince of Persia and Rules are quite different because this time prince is having a partner with him named Elika. In this Episode prince never dies, Elika is always there to save the Prince during the war with enemies or during his journey whenever prince slips or fails to jump Elika grabs his hand and saves him with the help of her Magical powers.
During healing the Grounds player has to fight with different enemies variously and player has to use combos and Acrobatic against the enemies (Soldiers of Ahriman), player can make the Combo Tree by changing up the different combos together (Combo tree can be seen by pausing the screen and getting into the options tab). There are 1001 light seeds are given in the whole game and for unlocking the different power of Ormazd Player has to get them.

Well, I must say that the Game is too easy to play and beginners can easily play this one. Game is not too much long but it is quite long enough to play and has got some interesting puzzles such as Windmill puzzle, Royal Palace puzzle and combats in it. Over all game delivers allots of entertainment to its players and keeps their interest alive for Prince of Persia. UBISOFT Team has delivered best game of the years towards Their Fan.
